Wizart Expands Yoko Tv Series To Asia

| On 11, Feb 2016

Known worldwide for a successful animated franchise The Snow Queen (sold to more than 130 countries), Wizart presents TV series YOKO at DISCOP Istanbul 2016 for the first time. Sharing international sales with Jetpack Distribution Wizart handles Asia, CIS and Russia.

‘We are delighted to enter DISCOP. Asian territories and Turkey are one of our target ones. We hope soon the viewers enjoy YOKO’s stories not only in Europe but also in Asia,’ Yury Moskvin, YOKO’s Producer, said. ‘In 2015 YOKO won the award for an animated series with the highest international potential at MIP-JUNIOR Market. Being the first animated series produced in three languages – English, Spanish and Russian – YOKO gets the competitive advantage in terms of international sales.’

Targeting kids aged 4-6 (12″/52), the series follows the adventures of three friends – Otto, Mai and Vik. They meet in the park every single day to play in the fresh air. Magical Yoko who lives in the park (and just wants to play too) appears at the beginning of each episode and his unpredictable baby nature turns the kids’ everyday games into high-stakes adventures where playgrounds become spaceships, or the sun switches off because camping is just more fun in the dark. Yoko has been developed as a truly international property focused on outdoor play patterns with a social curriculum that mixes up friendship, nature, and imagination.
