DISCOP Plan for the Future and Forges Strategic Regional Alliances

Istanbul, 4 March – Basic Lead, organizers of the highly successful content markets DISCOP Istanbul and DISCOP Africa, has announced significant strategic alliances in Turkey and South Africa, confirming two new regional partnerships to build each market’s position at the forefront of the television industry’s key growth regions.

 50% of each market has been sold to local partners and proceeds will be used to rapidly expand both events and build closer connections between the fast-developing television ecosystems covered by DISCOP Africa and DISCOP Istanbul.

Globus Fairs and Congress, a major Istanbul-based trade show organizer, will co-own DISCOP Istanbul, whilst a group of South African investors will co-own DISCOP Africa.

Nat Kekana, one of DISCOP Africa’s new partners said, “The next few years will bring enormous opportunities as digital services become increasingly common across a continent blessed by the world’s youngest population. And in a few years, DISCOP Africa has grown to become the only market where multiplatform entertainment business meets Africa.”
