Mira Emmerling | On 30, Jan 2014
January has been a very exciting month at DISCOP Istanbul. We’ve received positive press coverage, we introduced a new meetings platform and our registration numbers are booming! We’re excited and want to share some of the latest numbers and news with you.
DISCOP Istanbul has registered 628 participants only 49 less than total registrations for DISCOP Istanbul 2013 and more than double in comparison to last year during the same time. We’re 32 days removed and we expect these numbers to increase significantly.
Here are some more exciting numbers. Don’t worry we’ll make it easy to follow.
306 registered companies including:
7 registered Chinese companies attending as Sellers under the China Pavilion.
6 Iraqi companies attending as Sellers/Buyers under the Iraqi Pavilion.
10 Ukrainian companies attending as Sellers/Buyers under the Ukrainian Pavilion.
8 French companies under the French Pavilion.
75 Turkish companies including all major Turkish content acquisition companies.
See who is coming by downloading our list of participants here.
Our booming registrations have made noise and well-respected entertainment trade publications like Variety have noticed. Variety published an article highlighting our registration numbers and its reflection on the development of Middle East TV markets. Editor-in-chief of trade magazine VideoAge International wrote a piece about the role that TV tradeshow serve and the importance of DICOP’s emergence. DISCOP also saw coverage from TTV News, WorldScreen News and others.
New Meeting Organization Tool
In January we also introduced a new meeting tool for all of our participants. Our new easy-to-use meeting tool is helping producers, sellers, and buyers connect and curate their meeting with ease. Our interactive meeting tool contains advance search options, filters, and full profiles of participants. You can learn more and sign up at discopistanbul.com/meetings.
January was exciting and we expect a busy February. Make sure you follow us everywhere online and sign up for our mailing list for all up-to-date news.
