ITV Signs 3-Tittle Distribution Deal With TRT

ITV (Inter Medya) announced a distribution deal with TRT for three of their new series, announced Can Okan, President/CEO of ITV on Dec. 19. The tittles are Tree of Life, Resurrection and Filinta.

Tree of Life is a weekly 45-minute family drama and is set to air 30 episodes. Resurrection is a period drama that is set in the 13th century, it revolves around Dirilis Ertugrul, father of Osman 1. Resurrection has been airing on TRT for two weeks, topping ratings with both episodes making it the one of the breakthrough series of 2014 and most talked about shows on Turkish social media and has drawn comparisons to Game of Thrones. The third show in the deal is Falinta, also a period piece that tells the story of a young police officer, Mustafa, nicknamed Filinta. The story takes place in the 18th Century Ottoman period, directed by kudret Sabanci, director of international hit 1001 Nights, also airing on TRT soon.
