Strictly Focusing on Deals & Copro Opportunities
The 6th edition of DISCOP ISTANBUL will once again focus on Turkey, CEE, MENA and CIS countries, one of the world’s most dynamic marketplace combination already contributing to 20% of all global Film, TV content and adaptation rights sales with in the foreseeable future an estimated 200 million TV households with possible access to digital services and 500 million mobile subscribers.
To take place at the centrally-located Istanbul LUFTI KIRDAR ICEC exhibiting center, DISCOP ISTANBUL will take place from Tuesday 1 to Thursday 3 March 2016 and welcome close to 1,500 delegates representing global and regional content distributors and producers, broadcasters, Pay-Tv platforms, mobile and VOD operators.
Running parallel to the market, a two-day program specifically designed for independent content producers will focus on new coproduction opportunities.
THE FORMAT DAY – Tuesday 1 March
The format day will include morning panels dedicated to new cross-border, format programming trends. The afternoon will be dedicated to a multi-category pitching competition searching for the next big, influential and marketable television format. Projects will be presented in front of industry experts. An Award Ceremony will take place at the end of the day to honor the winners and runners up.
IT’S A SMALL WORLD – Wednesday 2 March
The day will explore new coproduction opportunities and alternative cooperation strategies with countries with rising film and TV industry sectors such as Turkey, South Africa, China, Poland, Kenya, Cote D’Ivoire, Morocco and Korea.
Delegates can register online as NON-EXHIBITING SELLERS / BUYERS / PRODUCERS / VISITORS. All delegates – except VISITORS – can then benefit from our assistance in identifying business prospects and setting up meetings with them in advance of DISCOP ISTANBUL.
